So Atheists: What action will your community take against errant atheistic terrorist Jared Loughner?

Update:

Me: Atheists love to include Japan but Japan is NOT atheistic. 75% - 80% follow Buddhism and or Shinto where there are many Gods and Deities. Also, Sweden is still officially a Christian Nation. There is no country on earth with an atheist majority.

John The Buddhist: So now everyone is to blame instead of atheists? LMAO!

Update 2:

EDIT: WHITE WESTERN AMERICAN YUPPIE BUDDHISTS MAY CLAIM TO BE ATHEIST, BUT ALL REAL ASIAN BUDDHISTS WHO KNOW 100 TIMES MORE ABOUT BUDDHISM THAN WHITE YUPPIE WASP BUDDHISTS ARE NOT.

ATHEIST COMMUNITY?! That is an incredibly ignorant statement! There is a religious community for sure because you all believe in the same thing, so you have something in common. Atheists don't believe in "god", so we don't share a common belief, which does not make us a community.

Now I have a question for you, religious community, what action will you take against errant atheistic terrorist Jared Loughner?

No such thing as an atheist community, so your question is moot.

However, society as a whole will take whatever action is appropriate in the state of Arizona. If that includes the death penalty (particularly for killing a 9-year-old girl), I'm on board with that. Need a volunteer to squeeze a trigger or inject something into Jared?

  • At least 6 accounts of murder, I am not a student of the law, there are probably more technical terms. What is the penalty for such crimes in the fine state of Arizona? Do they have the death penalty? But his youtube crap might be used as evidence for insanity or something. But also premeditation. This is society's fault, atheists, Christians, Buddhists, everyone has a part to play in bringing up crazy people. This is YOUR fault too, if you are who I think you are pretending to be.

    You murderer.

edit: well....lets blame everyone, OR...just the shooter..whats done is done eh?

Well some of his writing suggests he was anti-immigration and he killed a federal judge who tea partiers had been threatening because he allowed a suit to go ahead for an illegal immigrant which upset the right wing extremists in Arizona. Many Christians are hate filled bigot Republicans so I don't see the connection to atheism.. more like a connection to the right wing.

Other than Pox news blathering about a SINGLE, out of context blurb on the guys youtube video, there has been NO credible evidence that this knob was an atheist.

Apparently you confused the words "may be" in news casts with being a sure bet. Given the tone of your question I am not really shocked by that. He also claimed to be involved in the military within his rants, are military now going to be accused of being the same as a terrorist? He claimed to be a dreamer, and to sleep.... guess we are all in trouble.

If you don't get just how silly and inane your question was.... I assure you I think its very silly and inane.

Um, what genuine responsibility have the Christian and Catholic communities ever taken for their proponents' heinous acts? And there have been many over the years in 'the name of God'. Provide some balance and take the blinkers off.

Really????? you are jumping on this atheist thing as if THAT is why he committed murder....wa???

Would it be better for you if he were a Christian and killed these people in the name of God??

    pssssshhhhttttt

    may you find the Light~

Point out to every idiot who stupidly correlates his atheism with his act of evil that the two are quite obviously not related.

has anyone ever done evil deeds in the name of something they didnt believe in? Fairies? Dragons?

    no.

has anyone done evil deeds in the name of something they DID believe in? Gods for example?

    yes.

however believing in gods does not make one evil, nor lead directly to evil things.

and for precisely the same reason, the same is true for NOT believing in gods.

    "atheistic terrorist" indeed...
