Is Bob Dylan's "Saved" The worst album of all time?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saved_%28album%29

Slow Train Coming was awesome and proved he can make Gospel Rock but then he makes this? Wouldn't everyone else agree this is at least in the top 10 worst Rock albums of all time?

BQ Favorite Dylan album.

BQ2 Least Favorite Dylan album other than Saved

BQ3 Should I even bother listening to Shot of Love again?

These three albums are some of the best thinks Dylan ever did musically. The lyric's are what they are one can take them or leave them. But to love Dylan's works one has to love these albums just for the music.

    With artist such as these:

Mona Lisa Young was an old school west coast hip-hop performer and member of the renowned World Class Wreckin’ Cru. The Cru’ was famous for early electro hop, and featured soon to be famous DJs, Dr.

Fred Tackett, an American native of Arkansas, is an accomplished songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Originally a session player on guitar, mandolin, and trumpet, he is best known for his longevity as a member of the band Little Feat.

Dewey Lyndon "Spooner" Oldham ......a sought-after backing musician, recording and performing with such artists as Bob Dylan, Delaney Bramlett, Willy DeVille, Joe Cocker, the Hacienda Brothers, Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne, the Everly Brothers, Dickey Betts, J. J. Cale and Frank Black.

An organist, he recorded in Muscle Shoals, Alabama and at FAME Studios on such hit R&B songs as "When a Man Loves a Woman" by Percy Sledge, "Mustang Sally" by Wilson Pickett and "I Never Loved a Man" by Aretha Franklin.

Clydie King provided backing vocals for Humble Pie, which had great success in the United States, and she went on to become an in-demand session singer, worked with Venetta Fields and Sherlie Matthews and recorded with The Rolling Stones, Steely Dan, Bob Dylan, Linda Ronstadt, Dickey Betts and many others.

Jim Keltne.... work with three of the Beatles, Keltner, as a free-lance drummer, has also worked with Leon Russell, Gabor Szabo, Delaney Bramlett, Roy Orbison, Harry Nilsson, Jerry Garcia, Eric Clapton, Steely Dan, Joe Cocker, Van Dyke Parks, the Rolling Stones, Ronnie Wood, Bill Wyman, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Brian Wilson, Seals and Crofts, The Ramones, Bill Frisell, Neil Young, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Phil Keaggy, Steve Jones, Crowded House, Fiona Apple, Elvis Costello, The Bee Gees, Jackson Browne, The Manhattan Transfer, Randy Newman, Ry Cooder, Sam Phillips, Los Lobos, Pink Floyd, Warren Zevon, Rufus Wainwright, Tom Petty, Gillian Welch, the Steve Miller Band, Alice Cooper. And so many more.

Tim Drummond is an American bass guitarist who has played with many notable artists including Conway Twitty, Bob Dylan, James Brown, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Ry Cooder, J. J. Cale, Lonnie Mack, Miles Davis, B.B. King, Joe Cocker, Albert Collins, Essra Mohawk, and many others.

so one has to look no farther than the talent that went into making albums like these, and one can't go wong, if there into hearing great music

BQ: My favorite changes from day to day and today it's Bringing It All Back Home

BQ: don't have a least favorite as I said my favorite changes from day to day.

BQ3: If you love music as I believe you do, I would say yes just for the sake of great music, if the lyrics get in the way try and listen to the great sound. It always works for me.

    take care

No. It's a grossly underrated album that never gets any recognition. The title track, Covenant Woman,What Can I do For you? and Are You Ready are all decent songs.Although I am an atheist and don't agree with some of the things Dylan is saying on the record I still have a soft spot for it. The worst Dylan album ever in my view is "Self portrait", it's a joke of an album. Dylan even admitted that he only did it for a joke.

BQ1:That's tough, Freewheelin or Blonde On Blonde

    BQ2:Self Portrait

BQ3:Yes It's a good album it will grow on you.The Grooms still waiting at the Altar, thats a brilliant song.

Another Side by Miles. The Times They Are a-Changin' is good, but a lot of it is just angry in this naive way. At times, it's even sort of boring. Another Side, meanwhile, is where Bob Dylan pushed past folk, and decided that he could do whatever the hell he wanted. The songs are much more varied, and much better.

Mehh out of the ''true classics even from Prog Rock, Folk, Gospel whatever'' I still think there is worse. But yeah obviously it sucked but It had to have been close to his 20th studio album.

    MA: Blood on the Tracks

    MA: Knocked Out Loaded

BA: You never know it might sneak up on you.

Have to agree , saved really sucks, so does oh mercy except for maybe man in a long black coat, maybe. so, fave album, really tough to bring myself to choose but it could be freewheelin', could be blood on the tracks or even highway 61. Do the bootlegs count? if so then I would definitely choose the triple cd bootleg volumes 1,2,3, well 1 and 2 anyway.

Source(s): Agree about slow train comming.
