are figure skates cheaper in the States or Canada?
I'm heading there in a months and looking to buy new skates. What's a decent boot (reasonably priced) to get. I'm up to lutz jumps and scratch/sit spins. I'm looking for the cheapest suitable boot without paying for the name of the brand. Are they boots made in Canada or US? Will it be wise to buy those made locally.

it depends on what store you go to in Ottawa there is a great store with really good prices its an uncommon store because of its placement but i cant remember the name but you can google skating stores on google maps and email them and ask the price of the skates you would like
