    No, I haven't. But I have read a few papers written by people with disabilities who have written about how the net offers a disguise to people. They describe how they are able to have friendships with people where their disability does not dominate the friendship. Or it eases the friendship. Examples have included deaf people who can "talk" to anyone and their deafness is not obvious. People who are blind and no one knows they are blind until they say so. People who dictate to their computer using computer eye gaze - all thee people usually are "out" about their disability immediately because it can be seen.

    But what you want is something different. Some place where you don't have to hide who you are. So I did a search for "burn victims" "chat room" and found lots of links. Some are chatrooms no one seems to be using, but others are not. You may not be burned, but I am reasonably sure a chatroom for people burned would welcome you. http://www.google.com/search?q=chat+room+for+burn+...

    Wow sophieb! you are a total idi#t! ...What a insensitive comment you made in response to DaTrue's question. I suppose you have no idea what people with facial disfigurements go through- the negative comments, the staring, and grimacing from others! Get a clue! and simply google: Facial disfigurement anxiety depression social avoidance and you will get a much needed education. ....................Hi DaTrue....     why would you do that???? sounds like you wish to consider to be disabled and want to hide and want to feel bad about yourself. Why not join the world and move forward. Get involved in what the rest of the world is going, chatting, emailing, commenting, blogging, etc. on what's occurring in the world. Move on, and if you can't then see a psychologist to get help to move on and forward.
