Dogs drink water. Period. No juice. And no milk because most dogs are lactose intolerant.

Stop anthropomorphizing your dog! They do NOT need "flavor" added to their water.

Too much sugar can do the same thing to dogs that it does to humans. It can lead to obesity, dental problems, and even diabetes.

Please stop giving the dog caprisun. Dogs need water. How old was this puppy when you adopted it? You're talking about needing to feed this dog bottles and things. A dog should not be adopted if it's still drinking milk. Puppies need to be at least 8 weeks old before it's separated from its mother and litter mates.

Bad things can happen when people give dogs sugar or caffeine, etc. Caprisun may not have caffeine, but it does have a lot of sugar. Please stop giving the dog caprisun. Also, if your dog is 7 months old, she can have water, she doesn't need puppy milk at 7 months. However, she does need puppy food. Make sure the kibble you buy is puppy food. At about 1 year old, she can graduate to adult dog food.

You obviously get angry if some one doesn't think Maltipoo isn't a breed. Before people started breeding "designer dogs", a maltipoo would be called a mixed breed. The AKC does not (yet) recognize the maltipoo. That's why people say it's mot a breed.

If a dog is resistive to drinking water, you can add chicken or beef broth to it, but dogs are supposed to drink water once weaned. The milk you buy for yourself is probably cow's milk, and is BAD for any dog as they are lactose intolerant.

You need to read the label of the Caprisun juice to see what sweetener is used. If it's Xylitol, it's on the list of things that can poison your dog. If it's sugar, it's not good for your dog but not toxic like Xylitol.

btw: no matter how much you want to believe it, maltipoo is not a recognized breed by any valid agency that determines which dogs are true breeds. It IS one of the designer dogs that could be turned into a real breed, but until you can breed two maltipoos and get another dog that's the same in body and traits, it's not a breed. It takes a minimum of 30 years of breeding efforts to create a new breed. -!-

No dog should drink Capri Sun. Even people shouldn't drink that sugared, artificially colored & flavored crap. It's NOT juice! Definitely not good for your dog. And your 7 month old dog does NOT need puppy milk!!! No weaned dog needs milk of any kind. What a dog needs to drink is water. Period. Stop giving the dog this puppy milk & putting that stuff in his water & you will see he will be much more eager to drink plain, fresh water.

Your dog needs a good quality kibble and fresh water. Period.

She is lactose intolerant, and milk is bad for her GI tract - it is probably giving her diarrhea.

So is the sugar in Capri Sun - dogs don't need fruit juice, and the sugar can be very bad for her. Please don't give her any of that.

She will probably be finicky about eating dog food now that she has been fed human stuff - get a bag of kibble and ONE small can of wet dog food. You can put a teaspoon of the wet dog food in with a cup of kibble in a plastic container, cover it and shake so the wet food coats the kibble. Keep what she doesn't eat for her next meal in the fridge so it doesn't spoil.

Put down the right aamount in a dish for 10 minutes, and if she doesn't eat it, take it up and put it in the fridge until the next emaltime. She'll learn that's what's she's going to be eating - no dog will actually starve themselves if given food on a regular basis.

If you keep giving her things with sugar and milk in them, she will soon need to have her teeth cleaned, and could also develop diabetes and other problems. Just feed her dog food. She's a dog, and that's what is best for her.

I don't know what caprisun juice is but no you should not give to your dog!

You don't have to "flavor" your dogs water! Or share your juice with you dog!!

    STOP!

what kind of dog food are you feeding your dog?

it should be puppy food that is a good quality NEVER PURINA DOG FOOD!

dog food should not contain corn wheat or soy

always have FRESH CLEAN water clean bowl available for your maltipoo!

Sugar is bad for dogs... sugarless crap is BAD for dogs.

It allllll has the potential to create gastric upsets, and throw a dog into overload and/or imbalances.

Dogs drink water...and yes...sometimes they drink muddy water...and gutter water ...but.. purposely giving a dog Caprisun is irresponsible.

It has nothing to do with what type of dog you have... at 7 mo old a dog does not need puppy milk. You are a bit off track with her care. She needs good quality dog food, maybe a little daily fish oil...and f-r-e-s-h water.

There are rare times that I spike my dog's water (like when we are traveling and they seem to be disinterested in drinking). I put about 1T. of low sodium/low fat chicken broth into about 2 cu. of water and they drink. Putting anything SUGARY sweet into your dogs water is a bad habit and benefits the dog ZERO.

    Ask your vet about it...

Maltipoo is NOT a breed. It CANNOT be registered by the AKC or UKC and is a MIXED BREED. Yes, it has a cute name and many people have been breeding them for years. Perhaps one day the mutts will be accepted by the AKC, this is how new breeds are created, but until that time, Maltipoo's are NOT a breed. You keep telling yourself that so you'll love your mutt more.

There is NOTHING wrong with owning a mutt. Be PROUD of your pet regardless of breeding. I LOVE ALL BREEDS AND MIXES ARE SOMETIMES EVEN BETTER!!!!!!!

There is a lot of sugar in a capri-sun pouch and that is not good for your dog. If you feel you must flavor her water, visit your local pet store and see what they have available.

AND BE PROUD OF YOUR LITTLE MIXER!!!

Dogs do NOT need to have their water flavored. Why would you add such junk like Capri Sun juice. Anything made by Pedigree is garbage. CESAR and Royal CANIN (note the correct spelling) are both very poor quality dog foods.

The answers you received from everyone else regarding the juice and milk are correct. So, I won't answer that, but I must address what you are feeding your dog. You are feeding it garbage dog food...so please read your labels on the food and if you see, Meat, Meat Meal, or any kind of by-products you need to go on the net and read about "rendered pet foods". I would seriously think about changing your dogs food. I highly recommend either Wellness or Holistic which you can only get at a pet store. I worked for a dog food company so I know what is in your dog food, and what is killing your dog. Look up rendered pet food and you will understand.
