Some says ,that lack of religious affiliation has a causative effect on suicide rates, since this is only a correlation among those already suffering from clinical depression and those rates are not analogous. It sounds logical though because most religious people believe there is a punishment for suicide. It also sounds logical because if they don't fear death, God, etc, then they believe that by dying everything ends there and they are out of their misery. Although they are very wrong. It's actually sad.i'm not surprised. (yes, i google it and there are several sources)...
