Why does Yahoo Answers keep saying 'this question has been deleted'?

Almost everytime I answer a question, I press submit, and it says 'this question has been deleted'. Now, I know for a fact that it has NOT been deleted, because I go back to the page it was on, & it's still there, and my answer's on it.

It's not necessarily a problem, it's just annoying, & I was wondering if anyone knew WHY it was happening?

It's a glitch in the code and the "refresh" does not occur. Yahoo has already reserved a huge number of unused pages and the "Deleted" page is the default page for those pages so when you press "Submit" the Question page should refresh with your reply but sometimes it doesn't do it and the default "Deleted" page show. Click your "Refresh" button to show the Question and your response.

This is happening to me too. As far as I can tell though, the answer is still submitted, and the question has not, in fact, been deleted. This is happening to about 10-20% of the questions I answer...

The problem is with the site, not with you.

It's a glitch that happens here from time to time. A good while back, that was happening CONSTANTLY, but this time around it seems to just pop up infrequently.

And YES it's annoying. As you've noticed, your answer DOES post, but you have to check back on the question list or 'My Answers' in your profile to verify that the question (and your answer) is still there.

Happening to me right now too, its very annoying and nothing in the message violates the guidelines. Obviously a glitch in their software.

One factor to realise is that the Yahoo solutions staff is not invariably necessarily the one who deletes our questions and/or answers. Y!A's FAQ says that a question or answer will be eliminated if it is reported by way of one or more "reliable customers." If the circumstance is more critical then the solutions employees may just dispose of a question or answer themselves after reviewing it. However, the vast majority of the time they're simply routinely removed and violation notices are issued, given that of the way the Y!A approach is designed. I in my opinion suppose the whole reporting/violation method desires to be transformed in view that harmless questions and answers will probably be stated/removed while others, that are enormously offensive, are left alone. PLUS, i do know that there are waaaaaay too many trolls disguised as "risk-free customers" who're out to get different users they don't like by means of wrongfully reporting them. That is vindictive and uncalled for. Moreover, humans who state their opinions are being said as well. And Y!A says that having a strong opinion will not be a justifiable rationale for reporting any one. They just ask that users "don't use slurs to refer to businesses of folks, don't insult different members, and do not act in a belligerent method closer to others" when declaring their opinions. Sadly different users still do document opinionated questions or solutions regardless of the truth that they don't violate any of the community instructions. This is incredibly frustrating for the reason that honest Y!A customers mustn't must pay the cost for report comfortable trolls! Now, in the event you've bought a violation discover you can attraction when you think that you did not violate any of the neighborhood instructional materials. Just be aware of that after appealing you'll be able to obtain an automated response that lists the group directions and then it's going to ask you to enchantment again for those who nonetheless consider your query or answer used to be removed unfairly. (observe: you may also need to replica and paste your appeal's small print and save it in a word record as you'll normally must record it again on your ultimate attraction). A couple of months ago I had a question and my elements restored after turning over a violation realize that mentioned I had been "chatting." So don't lose hope. Men and women CAN surely win appeals. You just need to make certain that you simply address your case in a calm and concise manner as opposed to simply asking, "Why?" or ranting. For that reason the Y!A group will have a greater understanding of the factor you're trying to make.
