How do i convince my girlfriend to stop cutting her wrist?

She has family issues, so she does it from time to time.

I try to blackmail her by saying that i'll do the same thing, but she somehow blackmails me back that she'll cut even deeper :(

We both love each other a lot and i can't stand her doing things like that. Please help :(

Update:

Her parents harass her all the time :\, And they don't know about me yet.

And she refuses to visit a councilor :\

She does it to relieve stress. Yes I know it sounds weird, but it does. If you see her getting under a huge amount of pressure, do anything you can to talk to her and lighten her load. She doesn't want to die, but to release some stress. I bet you she is much calmer after she does it than before. She does need counseling.

You are in a sick relationship with a mentally ill person. Cutting is a sign of sever emotional distress. Threats and blackmail have no place in a healthy loving relationship.

If someone were threatening harm and possible death to your girlfriend you would alert autorities right away. The same thing is happening right now, only the perpetrator is your girlfriend.

There is little to nothing you can do to "convice" her not to cut. The only way you can truly help is convincing her to seek help. If she refuses to do this, the next step is to have alert authorities that you believe she is a threat to herself and they will put her on a 48 hour phsciatric evalution hold. They will be able to properly access the severity of her condition and recommend treatmen.

Do not trivialize this as a cry for help teat it very seriously.

I think she needs to seek professional help asap. Tell someone, she can't go on like this.

She just wants attention like all the other "emos". If she hurts herself like this, it shows that she doesn't care about herself. If she doesn't care about herself, she can't care for others.
