Value of a 2002 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport?
I just bought a used 02 Impreza Outback with 103,300 miles on it from my local Subaru dealer. It's an automatic with power mirrors and windows, a/c, awd... All the general base version would come with. It did come with the bike roof rack attachment which the previous owner had on it. It had two owners before me with a clean carfax. No accidents or serious repairs just general maintainence. There was very little cosmetic damage and the interior was clean. (cloth seats)
I talked the dealer down to $6000 from it's $7500 sticker price. I was curious what the general value of my car would be from a dealer and if I got a good deal, average deal or even if I got ripped off. No warranty by the way, however ive put 2000 miles on it in the month I've had it with no obvious issues. What would you all have paid?
The answers I got wasn't exactly what I had been looking for. Just looking to see how you guys think I did price wise. I did check Kelly Blue Book at the time I bought my car. It valued the Private Party value in Good condition at $6200 which was $200 more than I spent. And there was no option to add the bike racks that I got as well. This leads me to think I got a good deal. I think I'll put the question to vote. Do you guys think I got a good deal on my car?

In general, I always assume that a dealer is going to jack the price up because they have over head to cover. Its good that you talked them down but for a true price of a car and a rule of thumb that I always go by is check the Kelly Blue Book price. It's your best option for used car prices/private prices/dealer prices. Good luck!

For a base 2002 Outback in excellent condition, KBB has it listed for $9,500.00.
That seems pretty high to me.
