Do you have any tricks or advise for landing a job?
The organization I was working for downsized due to restructuring and I was one of the ones that got laid off. I'm now searching for a career position. I know there are a ton of people for example on Monster and Careerbuilder applying for the same jobs. Does anybody have any tricks or tips to get your resume noticed and to stand out from all the other applicants?

Just something I heard on the news today. A poll showed that fewer than 1% of applicants got a job through an internet site like Monster. The majority found work through networking and asking every single person they came in contact with about job openings. Sorry, no tips or tricks for you.
