there is no excuse for a man to hit a women?

Even when a man is hitting a woman in self-defense, you hear other people saying, "Oh, he can just block it." and "He needs to be the better person and walk away."

Just because he's a man, doesn't mean he can kill her by punching her once.

If a 150lbs man hits a 250lbs man in the face and the 250lbs man hits the 150lbs man back, no one (myself included) would have any sympathy for the 150lbs man, the general consensus would be that he should have known better and got exactly what he deserved.

But, if a 120lbs woman hits a 150lbs man in the face and the man hits her back, everyone would call the man a "coward" or an "abuser" or say BS like "he should just walk away" or "men do so much more damage than women".

But the outrage over a man hitting a woman has nothing to do with a disparity in size or strength or "damage", it has to do with a double standard designed to allow women to perpetrate physical violence on men with impunity.

There is definitely double standards on this matter.

There seems to be women hitting men regularly in TV soap Operas yet if it was the other way round there would be outcry.

I remember a few years back there was an advert for a trashy celebrity magazine that had a women smashing a male vendor over the head with a traffic cone because he had sold out of the magazine!

Neither gender should hit anyone!

The moment you start hitting is the moment you have lost control...

If a women wants to hurt a man and she has lost control then she could hit him with something that does hurt. I know friends who have had to hold off girlfriends running at them with knives!

If a woman hits a man, call the police on her. If the police does nothing, go the the district attorney or alert another cop.

Sometimes pressing charges can be more rewarding than striking her back, and maybe she can get some jail time. The courts favor women and treat them, so men shouldn't hit back because the courts will persecute the man.

I think it is acceptable for a man to hit a woman in self-defense, and I certainly don't think he should have to put up with being slapped by her without slapping her back.

There is also no excuse for a woman who slaps a man just because she feels like it. Hitting either gender is only acceptable under these circumstances:

- self-defense

- consensual BDSM

- some sports and martial arts

Where do you guys go out to see all those women who slap guys, I see it only on TV.

Women don't go out slapping guys around, however I ever were to receive a slap from a women she would get one back(double the strength), and if there was a guy like the Double taco idiot above who would attack me because I slapped her I'd fist the a*s hole as well.

NEVER LET ANYONE HIT YOU, HIT BACK, NO MATTER WHO IT IS, EXCEPT YOUR PARENTS - YOU'VE GOT TO RESPECT THEM.

If a woman put her hand on a man he should have every right to strike back with at least the same amount of force. But unfortunately, society pamper/coddle women and refuse to hold them accountable, as a result a lot of women/girls believe that simply being females should automatically give them the right to put their hands on others without any consequences.

There is never any excuse for a man to hit a woman, unless she is trying to kill him.

Sorry, but most of us women can't cause too much harm. Sure a slap stings, but it's nothing like if a man were to hit a woman. I'm not saying it's right either but I don't think the two can be compared. But there are exceptions. I'm just saying if a man were to hit me, it'd knock me to the floor. But if I ever slapped a man, it wouldn't nearly do the same.
