Would you look at your wife differently if...?

you found out she was raped at a young age? Not saying in a bad way, just differently.

I asked this yesterday but would like more input.

    Yes.

I found out after my divorce that my ex was molested. Not sure how far the molestation went but I do view her different. It explains a lot of what happened during and after our marriage. I do not see how it could not effect my view. Its not like it is something trivial and it would be cold hearted to dismiss it so.

For me it did not diminish her nor exalt her. It is just different. kind of like when you learn a woman's middle name, but of course far more intimate.

I am not a man but I don't think a guy would look at his wife differently if he found this out. Obviously they are married so she must not have any problems that show she has issues so everything should be fine. Things happen and this is a bad one but it does happen and sometimes, not easily, the person moves on! So, if I were a man and found out my wife was raped at an early age I would be sensitive to the matter but would make nothing more of it.

I was almost raped when I was 10, luckily my father taught me well on how to defend myself. I was pinned to the ground and kicked my way out. I refuse to go into detail because it was a horrible experience. My husband knows about this in details and if I was unable to get out, he would not see me differently. His sister was raped at 12, so he understands that it is not the female's fault, there are just horrible people out there. People who rape need to be shot or worst. It's a horrible experience for anyone.

No why?she is still the woman you fell in love with right?

I got rape and no my husband don't even think about that.

It's in my past gone and buried.

So treat her right and love her even more.

    Take Care!

Sure I would, she has been damaged so to speak and now she has emotional scars.

But I'm very jaded and cruel.

    good luck
