have you ever heard gods voice inside your head?

I have but only when i was fasting. please tell me I'm not the only one. also has God ever told you what to name your child?

Update:

I'm not crazy

Update 2:

I slept. I just didn't eat and I prayed all day. Their is a spiritual world just as their is a physical world and believing in it doesn't make you crazy. I heard a mans voice audibly inside my head and did not hear it outside of my head.

Update 3:

I am a christian. I'm not in a cult! and I wasn't hallucinating!!!!!!

I guess true Christians are not on yahoo answers! =)

Yes, God has spoken to me and I know without a doubt that it was him.

His voice was strong yet sweet I don't know how else to describe it and after wards I felt this overwhelming sense of relief. I do agree with you about the spiritual world being as real as the physical. The majority of these people are all so ignorant. They act as if the spiritual world does not exist meanwhile the people in power are all members of the secret society dancing around fires and offering up sacrifices in the spare time.

No, you are not crazy, but a little naive if you haven't heard that fasting along with other simple causes, can make you hear, see or believe in things that aren't real.

I stayed up for 4 days and almost 5 nights. By the end I was having hallucinations of things flying around the room, and clearly heard voices, many times right next to me, calling my name . This was happening all day and night long, the last two days. The effects lasted for days after.

It's assumed that all the supernatural and spiritual reports throughout history were caused by these two methods of prayer, fasting and lack of sleep. Some cases are tied to accidental poisonings and ingestion of hallucinogenic compounds, as well as certain mental disorders.

None, absolutely none, are a result of a supreme being. That would be highly unlikely, whereas these other causes are very likely, and we know they cause the same sort of occurrences.

Only in religion/faith, do people accept the most unlikely of things instead of the most likely.

I have never heard gods voice but have been sent in the right direction by him. Fasting procures funny effects, I fasted for 21 days and would never do it again. After the 3rd or 4th day i didn't want to eat and when i started eating i had to force myself. I lost 51 pounds and felt smart, survival mode, and unusual things did happen. sometimes we hear something and it really isn't happening. I did drink water. A Dr. should supervise it.

No not crazy, just affected by the lack of food and probably water too, during your fast and suffering from an auditory hallucination.

I guess that your culture has a god myth of some description, so quite naturally, it is one of the things that you will imagine to be talking to you when you are fasting and suffering from hallucinations. Particularly if the fasting is one of your cult practices or rituals.

Edit: Christianity is a cult, Baptists, Methodists and Catholics, for example, are sects within the cult.

The word `cult` shares the same root as the word `culture` I applied it quite correctly.

(Cult ... culture, sects ... sections)

Sorry, but if you heard a voice in your head and nobody was within earshot, you most definitely were hallucinating.

It's not an auditory sound, but an impression of a sound in your mind. The words are there but as they are being transmitted to you they make you understand what you are hearing (in your mind) in a perfectly clear way. So that you are receiving a message and feeling a profound understanding of the message at the same time.

No, I never was told what to name my child I was never meant to have any. I am not crazy either

No. But last night I hallucinated a freakishly loud suction like sound in my left ear. It tirpped me out for a second. It sounded like someone pulling a suction cup off of the side of my face.

If you believe in the bible, then believing God can speak to you isn't such a huge jump, is it?

I have known people who said God told them what to name their child. Factoring God's will into any given major decision isn't a particularly weird thing.

No, I never heard God's voice inside my head. It is just your belief in him, which made you imagine that you heard him.

No, but I have been told you can hear the voice of God by playing Satanist music backwards.
