Don't you love it when the Federal Reserve creates money out of thin air and makes the dollar weaker?

I just love having to spend more dollars to buy food and energy. It's also great how neither political party even acknowledges the Federal Reserve. People argue about abortion and gay rights as if the world would end if they didn't get their way, but when it comes to the private central bank creating money and lending it to all of the banks and the Federal government for interest most people couldn't care less. People accept that the middle class dies when the rich elite class of Wall Street get all the fresh new money while everyone else's savings get wiped out. YAY!!

Update:

@ George- Yes I know about deflation. It would cause people to save and pay down debt, but that is the only way to grow an economy other than through another bubble. Economies grow on savings, not consumption spending.

Careful now. In the new lexicon, advocating a currency that is actually backed by a fixed value is "right-wing extremism." Or so I've been told.

I think the Fed is where most of us, independent of party, can come together. The Fed makes my skin crawl. Operates independently. Determines the nation's fiscal policies. Has never been audited. YIKES! It's leaders are not elected, not overseen in any way and do not provide much information regarding their inner workings. The Fed is our secret government.

    No.

I love it that Ron Paul has been made chair of the subcommittee on domestic monetary policy, though...

Since you researched enough to discover inflation, have you discovered what happens if the Fed stops?

google it, it's a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation. Completely ****'d.

Love it to death. That means what little silver & gold I have is more valuable.

But there is a down side to that, figure it out.

Almost as much as I love pickled pig's feet.

Yeah, it's pretty rad. I mean, the more money the better right? More to go around for all of us. ;)
