What would cause my internet options not to open?
I have Windows XP SP3 (I am sure it's home edition as I am not on this particular computer.) The internet options in the Control Panel (the new view) does not show up except for the Icon and is outlined. However, I click on it to open it and it will not open. I open up Internet Explorer and the toolbar with the options menu isn't on there and I cannot get into them at all. I also am unsure if this is related or not but there are several (Like up to 12) instances of the program mshta.exe running in the processes of the task manager. There has also been up to 3 chgursa.exe running. I'm not sure if the beginning three letters are right but I know the last 4 are. Could these all be related and what would be causing this?

It seems that your PC is infected with some virus. It has changed the security options of your system. Although it is possible to change them manually but as long as the virus is there it will revert the changes back. mshta.exe is not a regular process and should not be running. I am giving the details to change the registry settings as it may cause you more problems if you change any other details in the basic system settings of windows in the registry. Better you get your OS reinstalled with clean formatting (NOT QUICK FORMATTING) of the partition with OS.
