Why doesn't my Yahoo! Mail auto-complete recipient email addresses anymore?
When I used to create emails @ Yahoo! Mail, I could type in the first few letters of a person's name in the "To:" field and it would pop up a list of matching persons in my contacts. Now, not only does it not do that anymore, but it also asks me if I want to add the addresses of the people I sent emails to to my contacts after sending them an email (and they are already in my contacts). This has been going on for a few days now and I am about ready to give up on Yahoo! mail.

The autofill error is Just another Yahoo glitch started some days ago. Lots of people seem to have this at the moment. It is one of many problems.They are working on it Hopefully they will get it right soon.

My Yahoo Mail no longer auto complete email addresses! It does some of them... but new ones that I have recently added it will not auto complete even though they are in my address book. I can not find an answer for this that is current. 05.05.15

There is a glitch at this time with the auto complete. Yahoo is aware of it and said they have their engineer looking into it. Many are having the same problem. They hope to have it fixed soon. Many are switching to the New Mail where it still works fine

I'm having the same problem. I heard back from customer service that yahoo engineers are working on this. How long could this possibly take to fix??? Or do they want us to switch to the "new" yahoo email - if you use that one the auto feature works... I don't like this version and prefer classic yahoo. Very frustrating!

I think you just have to accept the fact that Yahoo Mail is pants! It's totally inconsistent - not just one day to the next but even during the same session.
I am trying to reply to an email in my Inbox and when I do so, the 'To' field and the 'Subject' field are blank - how dumb! I

3/20/2015 This issue is VERY annoying. I can put in "mom" or start any other name and it seems to work fine. But I just added a new email for my dad and neither his nickname works, nor the last name nor his actual email address. Nothing "auto-completes" with him. So very strange and extremely irritating. Anybody else still having this problem?

January 31, 2014 Yahoo forced me to switch to the new Yahoo. Now my email auto-complete does not work at all. How to fix this?

Nope that doesn't work. Have Windows XP and it does work on mine either now.
Something with Yahoo. Did a system restore and it still doesn't work.
