Purchasing Microsoft Office with student discount?

I am currently a grad student and received a computer to take to class as a gift for Christmas. It does not have the full version of Microsoft Office on it (or at least the product key on the sticker on my computer won't let me register anything), so I will have to buy a full version. I know that you can get a discount through your school but you can only install the Suite on one computer. I have two computers (a personal laptop that only I use and now this computer that I use only for school) and was wanting to add it to both. Does anyone know how I can do this without purchasing the software twice?

Is there any kind of student discount for Office Home and Student 2010 or just the Office Professional Academic that is offered through the college? I really only need Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, so the extras that come along with Office Pro are useless and expensive for me.

Would there happen to be anywhere to legally purchase Home and Student 2010 cheaper than through Microsoft and would still allow me to download it on two computers?

Thank you!

The regular retail version of Office H&S allows for installation on up to three computers.

Have a second read through the license for the student discount. It might be permitting you to have a second copy installed provided only one is active at a time.

In either case, Office Web Apps let you use lite versions of these programs through any web browser, provided you save your files online:

And there is always OpenOffice.org, which is free to use and compatible.

The lowest price for Microsoft Office is the student price.
