The new 13 sign in the zodiac?

To be honest, I've floating about giving everyone the same reassurance that nothing has changed.

As annoying as that sounds, I find this interesting and enjoy giving curious minds a taste of reality, knowledge, and insight.

But I think the gravest question, which I don't think anyone will answer is "why exactly did this become popular now, even though its been out for awhile now?"

Some of what makes sense "because some astronomer just wanted to gain recognition for discovering something everyone thinks is 'new' ...."

All because the media has attracted some attention of the possibility that your zodiac sign has changed due to some scientific discovery, and people-

all they need to do is believe whatever the news says so they can spread this hyped theory further without doing any research.

The 13th zodiac sign has been around for ages in the world of Eastern (Sidereal) astrology. IT IS NOT NEW. Your zodiac only has changed if you follow Eastern astrology, which focuses on the constellations rather than the actual zodiac signs. The dates have changed for Eastern astrology because the constellations' positions have changed relative to the earth. However, the seasons have not changed. Eastern astrologers have been going by this method of "new signs" for a long time now, because this "13th sign" isn't new. It has been around for years and years. Western (Tropical) astrology, the one that goes by the actual zodiac signs and the seasons, and the one that most of us go by, doesn't change. Since obviously you don't study Eastern astrology, you are still the sign you've always been.

According to the website, it only applies if you were born in 2009 and up, other than that your sign is still the same. It all the depends if you believe in eastern or western astrology. It was confirmed that it was a myth, just a Hoax.

Oh is it new? Years ago, in astronomy class, we used to figure out our real astrological signs with a planisphere. And my real sign turned out to be Ophiuchus then, but everyone considered me as Sagittarius. I never bothered asking myself though, why is the difference.

Its not a "new" zodiac sign its been there the whole time. You don't know anything about astrology other than stupid fortune cookie bullcrap you read on the internet.

Yeah.... It's because the next closest star to The North Star is now a better reference for north.
