My 51/2 months old baby has red streaks in his eyes...should i be concerned?
The veins on his white part of the eye are red for about three days now should i be concerned? i will be taking him to the docs later in the day, but was wondering if anyone has witnessed this in his/her infant. He has no fever, he's feeding normal, he's not fussy and neither is he crying. he appears normal and happy. But red streaks on his eye? When he gets out of sleep his eyes are usually red, but this redness should clear within a few minutes but this is not the case. Could it be lack of enough sleep? too much blood? an infection or allergy? I breastfeed him, give him formula as well as rice cereal. Nowadays he does not sleep much, maybe 2hours during the day and sleeps all night through from 8.pm to 7.am.

Usually it's a slightly pressurized blood vessel. Seeing that doctor would be a good idea. Don't worry too much but keep your guard up.
