He is an American rock musician, multi-instrumentalist, and singer-songwriter best known as the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and primary songwriter for the Foo Fighters; the former drummer for Nirvana; the drummer for bands Them Crooked Vultures and Scream; and for his short-lived side projects Late! and Probot.
