Will working out at a young age stop you from growing?

Hey well im 5'6 or 170cm and I want to get bigger/bulk up because I'm too skinny I weigh 49.3 kgs or 108lbs. I'm 15 years old and I know I will still grow taller. I hear that if you start working out to early iit will shorten your maximum growth height? Just wanna know if this is true.

FAR from the truth. As long as you don't go hog wild and lift 300Lb sets, you'll be fine. Keep them about 20lbs above your bodyweight or less. As your bones get stronger with the weight lifting you can go higher without it affecting your height. Or you could try exercises using your own bodyweight but don't expect a lot of bulk from that

yes, If you start doing weights at an early age it will stunt your growth. You're way past that point though. Before the age of 6 you don't want to do any weights, before the age of 12 you don't want to go heavy or do excessive weights. At your age you can't pretty much go all out in the gym. Working out won't help you put on any weight, that's your diet. You need to eat more to pack on the weight. I'd still workout like a freak. I'd just also up my caloric intake as much as possible. Good luck and hope this helps.
