Help with a Maiden Hair fern?
I've never been able to grow potted maiden hair ferns successfully so i actually gave up trying, but recently i had one given to me in a pot and i've put it in my kitchen on top of the fridge & it is in an extremely good, well lit position & i have other plants in the same area that are absolutely thriving but the fern is not looking too good. I read somewhere not to let them dry out but at the same time i'm sure i'm not over watering it?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated :-)

They like high humidity and filtered light. Keep evenly moist but do not overwater, the roots will rot. A bathroom with a wndow is the perfect place for them. If your bathroom doesn't have a window put it in a warm room where the light comes through a curtain. Put the plant on a tray filled with pebbles and put a little water in the tray for humidity. Don't let the water reach the bottom of the pot. These are great to grow under a dome or bell jar.

Ok. Try changing something. First change the location. Is it possible to place it next to a window?
Monitor it for a while and see what happens.

They like to be kept moist, but not sopping wet, don't like drying out...just feel the soil.
