Topics about the Roman Empire?

I am writing about four papers on the Roman Empire, each has to be a different subject or aspect about the Roman Empire. I already wrote one about the Fall of the Roman Empire, any suggestions as to more topics?

Thanks!

Roman expansion, how the empire sustained itself through conquest, Rome was almost bankrupt for a while, then they conquered Dacia, which is today the country of Romania, and the wealth from the land that they got from this revived the empire at the time.

Caesar's well documented and brute conquest of the Gauls is another example, both characterize rome's use of war and peace for its own agenda.

Roman technology, how it was ahead of its time and helped them in battle, advanced catapults where used in some battles, they also had devices to measure the land and could calculate how long it would take for an army to maneuver from place to place.

Roman social structure, who was a slave, who was elite, who was the common man, who was a barbarian, ethnic diversity and conflicts within the empire.actually I myself only know a little about some of these topics.
