I dont think you need to be scared. Hondas can handle a lot of abuse, plus you said you revved it to 6k in neutral one time???? I have a 96 honda prelude Vtec and I have been runnin it to almost 8k at least a few times a week and shes runnin just as strong as ever, although I do maintain my car very well. I really dont think you need to worry about revving your car one time....

6000 rpm is well within normal operating limits for a D17. Relax, you wont blow anything. And unless you downshift and the rpms shoot up to 8-10k, you're fine. Honda has a rev limiter there for a reason.

Just don't redline too long.. Or better said, DONT REDLINE.

Otherwise, you have nothing to worry about.

    You got a Honda..!!

The more aggressive you operate your car the sooner it will lay down on ya..
