okay so i am 16 yr old Muslim girl, wears hijab. my style is mostly skinny jeans, long tunic or shirt and its above my knee, btw i wear skinnies b/c i am skinny and short (5'ft) girl so other types of jeans like bootlegs or flare doesnt fit me properly and is always too long so skinny is good lol.

Seven Conditions For Women's Dress in Islam
Hijab is a word that indicates not just the headscarf but clothing in its entirety which meets the following conditions :
1. Clothing must cover the entire body, only the hands and face may remain visible (According to some Fiqh Schools) .
2. The material must not be so thin that one can see through it.
3. The clothing must hang loose so that the shape / form of the body is not apparent.
4. The female clothing must not resemble the man's clothing.
5. The design of the clothing must not resemble the clothing of the non believing women.
6. The design must not consist of bold designs which attract attention.
7. Clothing should not be worn for the sole purpose of gaining reputation or increasing one's status in society.

If you're talking about those whores who leave their boobs and butts popping out, then that's all attention. I'm the 'modest' type, and even I would never wear a knee-length skirt. They're out-dated. They look odd, period. As for that and a quarter length shirt while it's 85--that's just self-torture. You get odd looks because people are wondering why you're wearing such thick [so to speak] clothing during the middle of the summer. Unless you have super heat-resistance, it's odd, yeah. I don't see why to be considered 'modest,' you now have to dress like a nun. I like wearing short shorts [not daisy dukes...just shorter than the non short short type, you know] and v-neck tees during the summer. That way, it's looks cute and I'm not suffocated by the heat. It's not trampy, and I'm not dressed like a nun. It's weather-appropriate. People have taken the notion of 'trampy' and then with that, stretched the 'modesty' part way too far in the other direction.

Learn how to sew. I know you said you're a tomboy, but you need to know how to do it if nothing but to patch things. I know it sucks as a tomboy (I was in kickboxing, muay thai, softball, baseball, basketball, volleyball, and a few others.... trust me I know, lol) but it's a good skill. I would have a basic selwar kamiz set. Something you can decorate yourself. It has loose pants and a long shirt. They have lots of designs you can choose from and they're really pretty without being too girly. And you can also use costume jewelry in place of pins specifically labelled "hijab pins". Usually "costume jewelry" does the same thing only they're about $1 a pin rather than $5. And you might learn you like to make your own pins too. Just try to learn to be crafty The worst that can happen is that you learn you can't do it.

Well I was gonna say wear skirts and maxi's but you just said you don't wear that stuff. Its just a modern and more stylish way rather than having to wear abaya. This will make you look really feminine but also modestly dressed too.
If not then just wear loose trousers and tops that are not tight fitting.

You could wear long cardigans and short dresses over your skinny jeans. I personaly love this look!
And if other styles of pants are too long for you, you could try to look for a shorter inseam or you could get them hemmed.
well hope i helped!!

lol,i like vintage too :P
i can't really come up with absolutely perfect outfit combos
but i suggest you get some staple items that every hijabi should have...such as:
-cardigans (i think they're cute)
-long flowy tops that you can layer (you can take a flowy top,and wear a cardigan over it)
-baggy (but not in a trashy way) pants...see,in your case,i would get skinny jeans that are kinda bigger than you would normally get them...or you should try flared leg pants (not the disco style though) like this:

ok,maybe not THAT flared...
but hey,it said vintage ;P
a nice blouse could work too...
i dunno,just be creative

i believe its all on the intentions like if your doing it to make an impression a boy or showcase your bodyy that might be seriously wrong

Well.. when I'm shopping for clothes, I look for modest clothing.. as in not-too-low neck line, longer sleeves, kind of long, flowy.. that sort of thing. But lets say you find a nice top that has a lower neckline and short sleeves.. I would just wear it with a plain long sleeved top so that it covers the exposed skin.
Like this; this:http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://ecx.i...
In winter, I'd just layer my clothing. :)
That way, I can get to wear what I like, but still be modest :)

Assalamu alaykum
Ah just get yourself a khimar, and wear whatever you like under it.
Don't worry about clothes, then about making the quran your clothes from with in so that you can inshallah become a walking quran.
Quran 7:26 translation:
Children of Adam, We have given you garments to cover your nakedness and as adornment for you; the garment of God-consciousness is the best of all garments- this is one of God’s signs, so that people may take heed.

You yourself might want to inshallah perhaps get a very big shawl of any type, that covers you from your head to above your knees.

Remember anything you can save on not going over the top with clothes, you can inshallah give sadaqa to say another sister who doesn't have cash for clothes.

Inshallah there's nothing wrong with you being a tom boy... that might be your natural disposition:
