how do i burn photos on to a dvd-r? can i? why does a cd-r not hold as many photos?

i have tried, i done it once before, i copied a few photos to a cd-r, but not many at all? how many can u put on a cd-r? or on a dvd-r?

    Photo DVD Maker can burn photos to DVD and CD, you may want to know the difference between them. The basic difference is the amount of storage on each disk. CDs have 700MB. DVD single layer have 4.7GB. So DVDs can hold over 6 times the data. You can use both for pretty much the same things. DVD is the disk of choice for movies so the home players are primarily DVD players.

    easy when veiwing the files in xp ,vista , or windows7 you look right underneath the tool bar and you will see the option to burn to a disc. select that option. most cd's format at 700mb/most dvd r are a few couple gigs or so. if nothing i have said rings a bell follow this link(copy and paste in adress bar)

    It depends on:

    1.your images quality and their size

    2.the capacity of your DVD or CD

    3.The program that you use to burn
