A Woman freezes to death last night in Toronto, read the article & let me know....?

It appears that the 66 year old woman ,who was suffering from senile dementia, had left the house at around 2 am and was unable to get back. The weather was extremely cold and snowing and she fell in a neighbours driveway. There are reports that her cries for help went unheeded. The tragic events surrounding this poor ladies death now have people pointing fingers and blaming everyone, from the poor husband, who was asleep, to the mayor , the police, the neighbours, the entire population of Toronto{ even though the accident happened in Scarborough}, and society in general. A sad event made even sadder by all the back-biting

I doubt very much that anyone knowingly ignored her cries for help, even up here in the great white north ,people have hearts. At 2 am ,you're asleep, you hear somebody shouting and think"just somebody who's had too much fun" and go back to sleep.

The other great rallying cry is "She should have been in a care facility" Her husband likely chose to keep her at home because that's where she was most comfortable, and out of love for his wife. Chances are she would have fared no better in a home!

If anything positive can come out of this tragedy, maybe it will make us more aware of those around us, and help us pop our heads out of our backsides once in a while . Meanwhile condolences to the family in their time of grief.

There are a lot of people who would have called 911 but unfortunately the few directly involved weren't from that group.

Sad story, the 2 people that didn't call 911 obviously have infantile minds not capable of reason.

Thats why we have police and soilders because some people do not want to be invovled in danger or getting their hands dirty.

Welcome to reality. Humans are evil. The sooner you realize this the better off you will be. It really is everyone for themself out there. When it comes down to it, your teachers, friends, pastor, etc will all leave you. The only people that will be at your side would be your parents. Even your own kids will screw you over in the end.
