TRUE OR FALSE: The "Road Warriors" at one time actually had a ventriliquist dummy in their corner?

The Road Warriors were probably the most dominating

and ground breaking tag team of the 1980s, ruling

Georgia Championship Wrestling and then going on to

become the top team in AWA and NWA. However,

Hawk and Animal's career in the WWF was not as wonderful.

One theory was that Vince wanted to bury the team

because they became huge without ever wrestling in

the WWF. This would not do for McMahon...

They started out hot, winning the tag team titles -

and that was when the tables were turned on them...

Paul Ellering and Rocco "the dummy" were brought in.

This was terrible. Hawk would soon leave the WWF after

a heated argument with Vince (to work primarily in Japan).

Animal soon followed.

In the late 1990s,

Hawk at one point had to do an angle where he had lots of

personal problems, having to act drunk a few times and

even attempting suicide. This was a crushing blow to a once

dominate tag team with legions of fans...

To add insult to injury, the WWF parodied the team a few months

after they exited the WWF. Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco came

out on 'WWF Raw' to the Road Warrior's theme song wearing spiked

shoulder pads and wearing Road Warrior designed face paint.

Yeah. Hawk never liked Vince much to begin with. "Rocco" was the reason Hawk left.

Vince's payback was that tasteless "suicide" angle.

    Vince is a vindictive bastard.

It's sad but true. I was and still am the biggest Road Warriors fan and Rocco was a very pathetic moment in the history of that great team.

Can I refer to the replacement guys as dummies? You know Droz and Heindrich.
