Which is easiest to skate in, rec skates, hockey skates, or figure skates?

Yeah I was wondering which to go for, I've had figure skates in the past but am not at all interested in anything other than a few turns around the rink with friends, nothing fancy!

And what about with inline skates? Are rec or hockey easier?

inline skates have the obvious advantage of being able to skate longer distances and seeing more interesting scenery than ice skates. Other than to be with friends for a short time, I am not interested in skating in a rink. Last times I was on ice skates, we went to a park with several small interconnected lakes so we weren't doing small ovals.

Inline hockey skates are very specificaly made for the needs of a hockey player to turn sharp, only skate short fast spurts, and be armored to protect the feet from hits.

Recreational skates will be more stable on a trail or or normal skating at a rink.

Inline figure skates are rare and even more different from rec skates for use in jumps and spins. They are expensive and not suitable at all for non-figure skating.

My recommendation would be to get recreational inline skates. They are designed for exactly what your intentions are, just casual skating around the rink. The wheels on recreational skates will also be designed for use indoors or outdoors, so if you want to skate with friends in the fresh air at any point, you can do so. Most hockey skates will have wheels designed for indoor use only and if you want to take them outdoors, you will need to get wheels that are designed for use outside.

Additionally, you will find much more comfort in recreational skates than hockey skates. Add in that recreational skates offer a brake (which is removable if you're comfortable enough at stopping without it) whereas hockey skates do not have this option.

I say your best bet is recreational skates. The options are plentiful and will fit practically every budget.

in order that u recognize... in case you wanna get a pair of 20 dollar be certain skates, it would take u about 9 weeks, 2 years tops. get be certain skates. hockey skates are truly uncomfortable and are ineffective. my first skates were about 40 money, in case you had to entice close. the most inexpensive 2d-hand skates I actually have ever heard of were about 30 money. so good success searching be certain skates for 20 money.

I don't know what rec skates are. I am only familiar with figure and hockey style skates. I skate recreationally and I prefer hockey skates. Due to the difference in blade design, hockey skates are more maneuverable than figure skates and allow you to make quick, tight turns and fast stops and starts. In addition they are generally less expensive than figure skates.
