I saw a lot of these trees blooming near Waco, TX last month. Anyone know the species name?
Here's a photo of the blooms:

5 AnswersFacebook1 decade agoAre there any famous poems about nationality?
If you know them about ethnicity, etc, that could also help. Thanks!
1 AnswerPoetry1 decade agoIf you were assembling books for a small library, what are some must-haves you'd include?
The library will be for a group of people in another country learning English as a second language. Reading levels are all across the map.
3 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoI have a friend in Belarus who wants to immigrate to the US and is asking me how to do it...?
I have no idea where to start with that. Anyone know?
5 AnswersImmigration1 decade agoHow do you get a cat to take antibiotics?
The vet gave me a syringe thing and when we tried to hold her and squirt it into her mouth (and we tried to get it in the back of her mouth as best we could.) Afterward, she slobbered and foamed at the mouth and I'm pretty sure she didn't get much (if any) down, but what did just came back out. She's really a voracious eater, so I tried squirting it on the food, and she might have gotten some (but not that much) of it that way.
Is there anything else we can try???

Especially if you just want to read one, no a whole series or something.
2 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoDoes a spider bite cause flu-like symptoms? Fever, chills, body aches, etc?
I thought I had the flu a couple days ago, til I noticed this big, angry infected spot on my leg... this morning after the shower it kind of looked like there were two fang marks in it.
3 AnswersSkin Conditions1 decade agoWhich is easiest to skate in, rec skates, hockey skates, or figure skates?
Yeah I was wondering which to go for, I've had figure skates in the past but am not at all interested in anything other than a few turns around the rink with friends, nothing fancy!
And what about with inline skates? Are rec or hockey easier?
5 AnswersIce Skating1 decade agoLooking to sled, is there snow on the ground in the Meyer Ranch area?
Just looking for a decent sledding spot since we haven't gotten anything in Denver. Any other suggestions?

They're both watercolors and 8 x 10.

Our business owner wanted me to put some paintings up to try to sell them, and I have a lot of questions, but I guess that's a good place to start!

Of does someone know the artist? Is it a photo?
1 AnswerRock and Pop1 decade agoShould I put trees in this background or keep it as is?
http://s300.photobucket.com/albums/nn34/LShreck/?a...
It's watercolor so adding in trees would make them sort of shadowy and dark, and I know I'd have to add them in pretty high because of fitting in their shadows. I also figure that plenty of the background will be covered by a mat, since the girls would fit in a 5 x 7 frame and the paper's just over 8 x 10.
Thanks, I just couldn't decide and my mom (a traditionalist) thinks trees should be added, but my friend (way into abstract and really edgy art) says its better as is.

Also, we'd like to go camping for at least part of it but will be getting a rail pass, not renting a car or anything.

Other than Ryanair and Easyjet?
3 AnswersOther - Europe1 decade agoWhat's a good watercolor book for painting deserts?
I need to get a painting done of either the Sonoran desert in Arizona (think big cactus, jagged mountains) or a canyon & river in Utah. I've been having some problems and need a book or something to get me going. But yeah, I only do watercolor.
1 AnswerPainting1 decade agoCan you break your nose and not have it bleed at all?
Yesterday I face-planted in the snow while flying down the slopes. Today my nose is swollen and looks like there may be a bruise under the sunburn. I've broken my nose at least 3 times already, possibly more and had it fixed a couple years ago. Just wondering.
1 AnswerInjuries1 decade agoIs there a test to see if you've had West Nile virus years ago?
In 2007 was on a camping trip (in a swamp) in eastern Europe, where we always get eaten up by mosquitoes. (Though 100% DEET does have a good effect, we still get some bites.) The people there swore they didn't have West Nile, but recently we've found out that they do. I'd been out there for a little over a week when I suddenly came down with flu-like symptoms and am now wondering if it was West Nile.

I've read that it can spread, but is it very likely or is it one of those insanely rare flukes?
