What's a good watercolor book for painting deserts?
I need to get a painting done of either the Sonoran desert in Arizona (think big cactus, jagged mountains) or a canyon & river in Utah. I've been having some problems and need a book or something to get me going. But yeah, I only do watercolor.

Your best bet is to visit your local library and flip through the books they have on hand. You may not find a specific book on painting those deserts, but try one on beaches or the ocean. No, I'm not nuts -think of the beach, but don't use the water. Look at photography books on the desert. Travel books may help, too. See the research librarian and get help there. They know a lot of other kinds of books for you to check for the images you want.
