Is an abrupt change to your menstruation pattern/cycle a sign that something else could be wrong?

I am 30 with no children. My cycle has always been 27-29 days to the tee, lasting for 4 days. For the passed 6 months it’s been 21 days lasting 3 days.

Update:

Changes in your menstruation cycle can be normal. These changes can be caused stress, any medications you take that effect your cycle and even food intake. Depend on how your body reacts to even weather can change your "normal" cycle. Having said that, if you have cramps with this change or you bleed a lot during your period, then, these changes can be a symptoms of health issues such as ovarian cysts. In that case you should get help from your doctor ASAP.

From your question, I think you have nothing to worry about.

    All the best!
