How do I figure out what a share of ConEdison (ED) is worth from 1977?
My Grandpa passed away and my mom has divideds of ConEdison Stock from 1977. I cannot figure out how much it is worth, since it has split, etc.

Who is the owner of record? If it is still Grandpa, then you will have to contact investor relations at ConEd website. If it is your Mom, then you will have to give them her name, birth date, social security, etc and they will tell you how many shares she currently owns.
Then, you can figure out the value.

It will take weeks of research. You need to go to Con Ed Corporate website and read their stock financials and email them if you can. Otherwise you pay your broker to research.
