Do you think liberals will hold themselves to the "civil dialogue" standards they demand from the Right?

If so, how should the "civil dialogue" police respond to this Dem congressman who compared Republicans to Nazis on the House floor?

    While there has been a lack of civil dialogue on both sides, you can't deny there has been some hysterical exaggeration in the wake of Obama's election, on the part of a few representatives of the right. It's worse when it comes from a movement's leaders, because so many people follow them.

    If you would ask a liberal you will get the answer that liberals are the most thoughtful, well educated, caring and ethical that ever existed. Anything they say is by definition "civil" If a conservative says anything, they are by definition hateful, racist, bigoted, uncaring, and should be exterminated. Conservatives are greedy, self serving capitalist pigs, or are red necked trailer trash. These characterizations are ignorant rants.

    When you have to compare your opponents to Joeseph Goebbels and claim that they will cause a holocaust with their actions, you are really just grasping at straws at that point. To make that big of a stretch, just because a group disagrees with you, is really sad and pathetic, and shows that you have been utterly defeated, and now must resort to comparing your opponents to some of the worst people to ever walk the earth because that is all you have.

    "On his Madison radio program Monday, WTDY’s lefty talker John “Sly” Sylvester diatribes about Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch’s effort to lure out-of-state businesses to the land of the Green and Gold. Sylvester alleges that Kleefisch won election by performing sex acts on Milwaukee talk-radio hosts, just before making fun of her for surviving cancer.

    An example of the left’s new “toned-down rhetoric,” perhaps.

    I doubt it. You can compare it to a relationship....when one feels they are being attacked because of something they've done wrong, they lash out sometimes. That's what I see happening here. As far as the congressman goes, he can say what he wants. The voters will determine his reelection status.

    Looks like they are stealing conservative lines. Republicans already own the whole "Obama is a Nazi" thing.

    I think those that have access to TV/Radio medium hold themselves to a higher standard than conservatives.
