After coming so close for a couple of years i think that it will be Aj Allmendinger. As for Marcos Ambrose i think that he could but he keeps having to much problems.

Me. Both have realistic chances at a win. Marcos will be up there with Smoke, JPM, Harvick, etc. when they go road racing. AJ almost certainly would be a winner had they not had a puncture at Dover. That car was SO quick, it was peerless in clean air. Both are capable of it, they have the talent, but haven't pieced the whole puzzle together yet. One of them will in 2011, I think.

I like how Marcos is only rated at road courses. Never mind the fact that the only reason he didn't win the first Bristol race last year was because he got taken out by Mark Martin, and he hasn't ever finished worse than 11th at Richmond. Maybe people should look at the team he was with if they are wondering why he hasn't won yet.

If I had to bet my house on one of them winning this year, I'd bet against it. But I wouldn't be shocked either if one did it. Marcos can win at at either road course. AJ at times last year was running super competitive lap times but I'm not sure he's quite ready to win.

I think everyone has a chance to win, but the odds of either of these two guys winning a race in the Cup series is pretty slim. The compitition they will be running against each week even on the road coarses is pretty tough. I like Marcos, but there are at least five other cup drivers that run road coarses as well or better than he does.

Some are showing their intelligence here again, how entertaining! (smileycheesedick)
Ambrose threw away a road course event last year. Even a half-wit could see that he has a strong possibility of being in contention for a road course win this year.
Dinger? -not so much.

i think both could A.J has a lot of talent and i think is on the verge of a win and Ambrose will have a shot on the road course's

If I had to choose one, I would go with AJ. As for Marcos, it's possible, but I wouldn't hold my breath over the matter. As someone else said, he is a good road course driver, so he is a threat at those tracks.

No.
I don't see why people really like these two people.
Marcos Ambrose finished nearly dead last in points last year. The only chance he has at a win would be the two road courses and I don't think he can even pull it off on them.
Almendinger only had 8 top 10's last year, he gets lots of mid pack finishes like Dale Jr. just by staying out of wrecks. Never wrecks or has car problems, so that guarantees you a decent looking finish.
Source(s): Marcos has a chance at the road courses, but still unlikely even at those. Almendinger can pull of a fuel win or rain shortened race anywhere.
