Restore Windows 7 onto new RAID 0 volume?

I'm looking at putting my two 1TB seagate drives into RAID 0. Now my question is if I did a full backup of my Windows 7 Ultimate install that is currently installed on just one of the two drives (the second drive was backup until I got my new 2TB drive to replace it), would I be able to restore that backup onto the new RAID 0 setup using Windows regular restore process? Basically I just don't want to have to go through and do a fresh install of Windows since there is nothing wrong with my current install.

you'd have to use a backup system that also fixes or backs up the boot sector on the first HDD. it's a lot safer to do a re-install.
