I bought an HP 2011x monitor a wide screen where it only fills part of the screen, how do I fill the screen?
I recently bought an HP 2011x wide screen monitor with an existing Dell Optiplex SX280 desktop I originally have. The content only fills part of the screen, when I manually go through the menu options on the monitor to fill the screen to a wide format, it is distorted. How can I fill the entire wide screen without being distorted? I have tried installing the drivers that were included with the monitor, but still no avail. Any suggestions?

It would have been nice to know what operating system your using, your most likely using windows, Try altering the resolution in the operating system your most probably using the highest resolutions so step it down to a lower resolution, till you find the one that suites your monitor the best
If your still running the Dell Optiplex SX280 system then you need to move on to a more up to date alternative operating system, one that is capable of setting up all your hardware which windows can't and doesn't do without the manufactures original drivers,
There are several up to date ( January 2011) alternative operating systems available to you, that put windows xp and 7 in the dark ages, and make the Dell Optiplex SX280 system twice as fast as windows 7 ultimate.
