Do I need a real estate agent?

I currently own a house that has been rented out for the last 2 years. I rented out the home because the economy was awful. However, my tenant would like to make an offer on my house? Do I need an agent? I mean, I know that I don't need to list, market, or do any of the other stuff I would be paying an agent to do. So is there need for an agent?

No you do not need a realtor for the home sale. But do get a Real Estate Attorney to draw up your legal documentations for the sale of your home to your tenant.

Since you have a buyer and I assume you are being offered a fair market value price for the home, then you need someone who can process the paperwork to make this sale legal and binding. A Real Estate attorney can do that. A Real Estate agent can do that too.

A Real Estate agent would be cheaper than an attorney. But a real estat attorney may have more experience with such things vs. a real estate agent.

No, you do not need an agent. You DO need some legal guidance through the sale process, however. Either engage a qualfiied real estate attorney, or a very good real estate agent who might help guide you through the process for a minimal fee.

Attend open residences. Also, opt for up the regional truly property books that they deliver out free of charge. Find a couple of residences you prefer and make contact with the directory agent and ask to peer the apartment. That will deliver you a danger to satisfy a couple of regional marketers and spot if there may be anybody you mesh good with. We used Remax with our final acquire/and promote. However, I could no longer base my selection on a distinctive organization title....every realtor is one-of-a-kind and certain. Try to stay with a organization that has a extra good recognized title (none of the ones discounted expenditures locations or tiny organizations) so you realize you're getting essentially the most correct understanding feasible. If feasible, it could be first-rate if the agent used to be just about your age, in order that they are able to relate to why you're watching for distinct aspects or places, and will greater foresee different properties that can be excellent for you that perhaps you're overlooking as being slightly unfamiliar with the field. Good success! Look at a couple of residences earlier than making any presents!

No instead spend a few hundred on a real estate lawyer to prepare the sales contract and to review everything you need to sign.
