Is it just me or did the NCAA screw USC, and allowed Ohio State and Auburn to get off with a slap on the wrist?

Update:

The NCAA got USC because Bush's parents negotiated with a marketing firm for him to sign with them for the use of a home near USC. Cam Newtons dad did the same thing except for cash. Ohio State sold items for cash and tattoos, it didn't state how much they were paid, or overpaid for the items. The fact is they all broke rules, and only USC received probation, one player bought down the entire football program.

They're not exactly comparable situations. It's well known USC was engaged in some pretty obvious rule-breaking and paying players, across multiple sports. Ohio State did get off pretty lightly by having players who may or may not be back next year take their suspensions next year. Auburn still hasn't been proven to have done anything wrong at this point, though it does look suspicious, even the NCAA can't punish base on suspicion alone. USC got penalized the way they did because it was very obvious and very blatant, and it always looks worse when more than one sport is involved.

What happened at USC was different. At Ohio State it was just the players who sold jerseys and other items. The NCAA handed down the punishment to USC because there were people involved other than just the players. I don't think that the players at Ohio State should have been allowed to play in the bowl game though. Auburn......it was just Cam Newton's father...supposedly, so there was nothing the NCAA could do to Auburn.

I think it was a fair thing for Ohio State since the players got suspended , but Auburn will eventually get hit the way USC did in my opinion but who knows with the NCAA but the fact remains in my opinion all the winning programs more than likely have some dirty laundry

Reggie Bush's family got six figure payments. USC's also resulted from a similar and financially equal violation by a basketball player.

Nobody can prove anything about Newton.

    Ohio St. players got peanuts.

    It's just you.

Players selling freaking jerseys is NOT the same thing as the program handing over hundred grand $$$ to a handler of a high school player.
