How do I import bookmarks from Firefox to Opera?
I'm wanting to switch from Firefox to Opera (I've been having a lot of issues with Firefox for some time now). But I can't for the life of me figure out how bookmarks work on Opera. That's the main reason I've stuck with Firefox for so long. I see this Speed Dial feature on Opera which seems like a poor man's version of a bookmarking feature, not really what I'm looking for. I can't find any option to import bookmarks from another browser.
1 AnswerOther - Internet7 years agoSo how many men were taught they were entitled to a woman?
I saw this stated in an earlier question here. I've been gone for a while and am glad to see there are still people who seem to understand my own life better than I do myself.
11 AnswersGender Studies7 years agoAre 3rd-party AC adapters for laptops trustworthy?
The AC adapter to my Asus laptop seems to have a short in it because I have to get it positioned just right for it to charge. I'm guessing this means it's only a matter of time before it bites the dust completely so I want to go ahead and get a new one. I've found a good deal on one on Amazon which has a few good reviews, but not enough for me to be quite comfortable with it just yet.
3 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks7 years agoHow exactly does someone "identify" as male or female?
The other day I saw an ad for some event which was advertised as being only for people who "identify as female." This wording struck me as kind of odd. What does it take to identify as a female (or male for that matter)? If I'd gone in and told them I identify as female, could they actually keep me out? How do they know what I "identify" as to know if I'm telling the truth (unless they catch me lying, which isn't likely unless someone knows me)? Does it matter that I have facial hair? Would I have to act "feminine?"
This is semi-hypothetical, as I did really see an ad for an event (I've forgotten exactly what the event was now) but have no intention of going, but the thought did occur to me as to how exactly it's determined you identify as female or male.

Taxes from their scholarships.
2 AnswersFootball (American)7 years agoDoes the opinion of some of NASCAR's legends change your mind on the new points changes?
http://espn.go.com/racing/nascar/cup/story/_/id/10...
I know the new changes to the points system aren't well liked by a lot of people. I can't say I was crazy about them myself. But some of the big names in NASCAR seem to like them.
4 AnswersNASCAR7 years agoMen, on a scale of 1-10, how well do you understand women?
Another question from Family Feud.
12 AnswersGender Studies7 years agoWomen, if you could be on the cover of any magazine, what magazine would you choose?
I saw this question on Family Feud and wondered what kind of responses it would get here.

I stumbled across this by accident today. I don't have a lot of time to search but the only other places I see reporting this are very obvious conservative outlets.
7 AnswersGender Studies7 years agoHow did someone answer a question of mine that's 2 months old?
I'd picked a best answer and completely forgotten about it, yet someone actually answered it today. Is this some new feature or one of Yahoo's glitches?

He's won the most Super Bowls of any NFL player (5).
13 AnswersFootball (American)7 years agoWhat do you think of this event?
http://www.sbnation.com/longform/2014/1/8/5279942/...
The article is a decent length, so to get an idea, it's about a (mostly tongue-in-cheek) competition for single women to compete in events showing off skills eligible bachelors in Alaska would find desirable in a woman, and money is raised to help out women who are abused in those little small towns in Alaska where the only easy way in and out is by airplane, which can make it hard to escape.
Also, one of the events involves making a sandwich. I figure that will be the favorite around here.
So, would any women here make a good Alaska Wilderness Woman?
1 AnswerGender Studies7 years agoDo you always watch the Super Bowl halftime show?
I think the last one I watched was when Springsteen did it.
11 AnswersFootball (American)7 years agoHow do football players keep from getting frostbite in really cold games?
A lot of them played with exposed arms today despite the near-zero temperatures. I know a few players did get frostbite from the Ice Bowl in the '60s.
4 AnswersFootball (American)7 years agoDo low-flow showers actually save water?
Since you have to take longer showers if you really want to get clean, does it really make a difference?
6 AnswersConservation7 years agoIs there a situation a punch would be more effective than a palm strike?
I can't punch very hard, but I can do a palm strike with reasonable force. In particular I can't punch well with my left hand. I can't really make a good fist with my left hand. I'm not sure I can explain it in text.
If I ever get attacked and have to defend myself, I'd go with a palm strike over a punch first. But I wondered if there was a situation in which a palm strike just doesn't make any sense compared to a punch.
4 AnswersMartial Arts7 years agoWhy does everyone want more personal information now?
Periodically when I sign in on Yahoo (which is rare because this place sucks now, but that's a whole different discussion) I get asked for a phone number for some security reasons. This is despite the fact I have used the site for a few years now without this being a problem. Based on what I've read elsewhere, you're required to give a phone number if you start a new e-mail account on here. I've blown it off to this point but keep waiting for the day I can no longer do that, in which case I'll no longer be using Yahoo at all.
It's not just Yahoo though. Xbox Live keeps asking for me to use a security code to verify my e-mail address-- the e-mail address I have used for 5 years to get on there. Now they want me to verify that one (which, incidentally, doesn't work, as I've done it twice and still get asked to do it) and another one. Google keeps wanting me to use my real name and basically forced me to do so at one point, before I changed my name on there to the alias I'd been using.
All of this came at about the same time. Even though these are 3 wildly different companies, I'm not sure that timing is a coincidence. But I get enough spam e-mails and phone calls as it is. I can't see why these companies I've dealt with for years suddenly need this information. What am I missing?
2 AnswersSecurity8 years agoIs the e-mail screwed up on here now too?
I got an e-mail yesterday I tried to respond to, but I couldn't do it. Whenever I hit reply I got sent to the person's Answers account.
Does this have anything to do with the nonsensical format Yahoo "designed" for this site, or is it a separate problem?
