How did someone answer a question of mine that's 2 months old?

I'd picked a best answer and completely forgotten about it, yet someone actually answered it today. Is this some new feature or one of Yahoo's glitches?

    Because the new format allows a user to answer a Resolved question though no points are earned and it counts as part of the daily limit

    Sometimes they show up on a side panel as "related questions" and the person obviously did not realize it was already a closed question.
