If college football players are university employees, how long before the government gets taxes?

Actually, a player's chances of getting a scholarship to play college football depend on his/her performance in football during his/her senior year of high school. If a player performs very well in football during his/her senior year of high school, he/she will greatly improve his/her chances of getting recruited and a scholarship to play for a college football program.

Hopefully it doesn't happen but it's also unlikely because it's not like the university gives the student-athletes cash. They just allow them to go to their school for less money and sometimes even for free. If the colleges started giving their students actual money (and if that wasn't considered illegal) than it would probably be taxed by the gov fairly quickly if not immediately.
