Hello friends. I wish to create a website in which i will have the GUI in VB.NET and the back end in SQL Express . My question is , which books can i refer for learning VB.NET . My deadline is 2 months . Also which IDE should i use for developing VB.NET applications .
So , summarizing my question -
1.Which books should i refer for learning VB.NET from scratch and that too within a month or so ?
2.Which IDE is good for VB.NET programming .

There really is only 1 IDE. Visual Studio.
You can get Visual Studio Express for VB.NET free from Microsoft. See first link.
No good suggestions on books (Do people still use dead tree media today???). But Microsoft has a bunch of good stuff to get you started. Start with the second link.
Tons of other good stuff out there as well, just do a creative Google.
2 Months is probably not enough time if you don't already have .NET experience. It's a big API. Very, very powerful, but hard to learn in a short period of time.
