Pain behind eye, left arm numbness and vomiting?
My husband woke up from a nap today feeling sick. He was sweating really bad and he made a comment that his left eye hurt. When i asked about it he said it hurt behind the eye. Not even ten minutes later he couldn't feel his left arm and has been throwing up. Any ideas on what might possibly be wrong. I've tried the doctor websites, but all I've gotten was Optic Neuritis, which would only explain the eye problem.

He has tight neck muscles causing the problems. The neck muscles go to the top of your head. The nerves for the eyes go to the back of your head, passing right next to the neck muscles. When the neck muscles are tight they can press into the eyes to cause pain on the back of the eyeball where the nerve is attached. Tight neck muscles are known for making people feel like vomiting, so that fits right into place with this. Not sure if there can be pressure on a nerve going to the arm there or not but you will know for sure once he frees up his neck muscles to get rid of the pains I listed. The tight neck muscles is causing him to sweat as well. Here's how to free them up to get rid of those pains:
Neck
Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your neck. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. When your fingers and thumb touch, about two minutes, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds.
For best results relax the body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed. If any pain remains in the arm let me know and I should be able to help.

Take him to the emergency room asap.. This is the second time this week I've heard someone having a pain behind the eye. It was my brother in law. My sister took him to the er and they've run all kind of test on him. Still don't know the results. Hope your hubby feels better. Please take him to ER as he could be having a stroke or something else may be wrong.

Do a search on Web MD, with your symptoms. Considering you said you have had back pains I would think it has a lot to do with your problems. A bad back can give you migraines. I had a friend that would get them all the time throw up feel better and he went to a chiropractor, after that he was fine. However only a doctor can diagnose.

when your limbs go numb it could mean a blockage in an artery. thats one of the signs to look for if you think you are having a heart attack. he may have a small blockage holding back the blood flow to his arm making it numb.. that alone should be enough to take him to see a doctor.
