My basketball team keeps goofing off?
I am captain of my basketball team. We are basically all new to the high school program except me and one other girl. At practices, everyone just messes around the whole time, even pregame. They shoot around when we are not supposed to be, play messy basketball when we are working on a play, and just don't pay attention. Also, no one respects our coach. I don't really like him and he isn't a very good coach but I think he still needs to be respected as he is our coach and he does try and help us. But whenever he talks people don't listen, bounce the ball while he's talking, shoot the ball while he's talking, and talk to each other while he's talking. Also, some people WALK ON THE FLOOR. That is a big pet peeve of mine. Pretty much our whole team except select people act like they don't care. Everyone says they want to win, but nothing ever gets done. I'm tired of their whining. I've been tired, sore, and bruised up before during the season, but I still work hard in practice and all they do is whine.
My coach doesn't make us run and doesn't really get mad, so he's no help. And we (the other captain and I) have already asked him to have us run more multiple times and nothing changes. I'm just tired of us not working ad getting better.
What can I do about this? Any advise? Thanks!

You should talk to your coach and ask him what he thinks of the situation and what you guys can do about it instead of just running more. I think the team should sit down and you and the other captain should bring it to their attention and tell them that you don't like it. Get everything off of your chest.
On my basketball team there is so much drama going on. Peoples big fat ego's get in the way of winning. But usually on basketball teams when anything is going on everyone sits down and talks.

Bench him. Explain to him in no unsure phrases precisely why it's he's being benched. Reiterate to him the TEAM pursuits and the TEAM proposal. Explain that that is no small time software and train demands to be taken only a critically as sport day. Let him watch from the bench for approximately every week. Let him understand that he's going to be again within the rotation whilst he can show a bigger stage of adulthood and a greater expertise of group proposal. Whatever you do, do not pander to him simply considering that he is gifted. That is what ends up in the entire immature knuckleheads we learn approximately at the police blotter everyday. Seems to me the child was once a gigantic fish in a small pond. He demands to realize that he is now not the largest fish anymore. Diminished gambling time is the one language those children realize usually.

You should bench the players that are goofing off or dismiss them from the team and add walk-ons.
