What is the appeal of camping?
I LOVE all of the camping stuff. The ten the little stove and all of that. But the thought of actually sleeping outdoors on the ground - not so much.
For people who enjoy it, what it the appeal of pretending to be homeless?

Some of the appeal for me is:
*waking up to the sounds of nature instead of the sounds of the city
*enjoying my morning coffee while perched on a boulder, breathing in the fresh mountain air
*the hiking and fishing
*and the stargazing
For me, the sleeping outdoors on the ground is just a minor inconvenience.

Everyone is different so for me it's learning to appreciate basic survival and realize how beautiful nature can be. A little fishing a camp fire it's fun. That's is the Appel. Do enough of it and you realize how easy life has become with all the teck out there. Cooking your own food over an open fire is very good and rewarding.
