Which of these U.S. universities is best?

The situation is that I am currently studying at Roehampton Uni in London and am in my first year. I'm studying Human Right and Sociology. At the start of the second year I have the chance to study abroad for three months. I can choose to do this exchange at one of the universities on the list provided by my uni (the universities on the list are in many different countries).

The only country which has more than one uni (on this list) with sociology/social sciences is the U.S.

The universities are:

- Greensboro College, North Carolina

- Otterbein College, Ohio

- San Jose State University, California

- University of North Carolina at Wilmington

- Valdosta State University, Georgia

1) Do you know or have any idea which would offer the best sociology/social science course?

2) Which university would you say is the best and what are your reasons?

3) Which is situated in the best (i.e. nicest, most interesting, etc) area? -I'm aware this will probably be very subjective to answer, but would be awesome if you could give some input still :)

NB: Cost is no issue as I will remain paying my Roehampton fees throughout the exchange period?

A HUGE thanks to anyone who tries to answer or has even taken the time to read this :)

The only university I am somewhat familiar with on your list is Valdosta State University. It is in the middle of nowhere in Southern Georgia... it is like stepping back in time 50 years. The campus is nice, but I do not know about the classes. I have been living here for about a year and cannot wait to leave (it is for my husband's job). The school might be nice but the area is lacking. There is absolutely nothing here and the people are not that friendly. I am from the midwest close to Ohio, people there tend to be friendly and I think Otterbein is close to Columbus (a big city). California would also be a nice choice.

Any of the choices would probably be fine, except Valdosta State... cross that off your list or you will regret it (seriously I am not kidding)!!

im bias because i got accepted and loved unc wilmington and might attend next year. but im not too familiar with the other colleges. i obviously know sjsu, uncw and uncg. but i think it would be a good idea to go to a unc school. i only say that because they have a transfer program. so, basically, you can move around from each state school to get an education. so if you decide to change and you go to uncw for engineering, since they dont really have it, you can switch to chapel hill or greensboro. again, im not too familiar iwht all the cities, but greensboro is huge. its in the city. uncw is ok. its only 100 thousand, but the city is spread out. and the campus is amazing. you wont get the city like feel, but its close enough where if you want the city, you can head over to durham, chapel hill, greensboro, or raleigh. the only real downside is that in nc, there are hurricanes. san jose is obviously urban.
