Do you like the name Eema Jean (Scale 1-10)?

1 being the worst 10 the best

First Name: Eema, Eemah, Ima, Imah..

Middle Name: Jean

Not said together as one name.

Eema- Pretty strait forward, sounds just like its spelt..pronounced with a long E)

An American name that dates back to the 1860s from the Greek Saint Euphemia

c. 304-307 AD.

Jean- The name of my late great aunt and I was given her name as a middle-name. We were very close and wanted to keep passing the name down.

If you have suggestions on on how to spell it differently please share :o)

Its an older name and may not be every ones taste or first choice but for what its worth, just looking for an opinion of how it sounds. Thanks in Advance!

I'm not personally a fan of Eema, I like it as Emma, or Ima, or Emmah. I love Jean, it's also a family name, it's my grandmother's middle mame. Have you thought of any variations to Jean? And bottom line, if you and baby's dad like the name and ya'll are happy with it, then that's all that matters. Spelled Eema, I give it a 3 on a 1-10 scale.

All I can think is that Ima (pronounced the way you're pronouncing it) means "mother" in Hebrew. Not that that makes much of a difference but....I don't really like it anyway. But if you're going to use it, use Ima or Imah. Eema looks like a typo of Emma, and Eemah just looks weird.

Eema = mom in Hebrew (???) it particularly is strictly how that is pronounced E+Ma i do no longer like it at taken with a customary call- it basically does not sound extreme high quality in any respect. I even have by no ability enjoyed the call Jean. a million/10

    1 for Eema Jean

    6 for Emma Jean

I feel like with a single syllable middle name, you need a more complex first name.

These are some names that I feel like are similar to Eema that you might like and would sound nice with Jean.

    Emalyn Jean

    Emala/Imala Jean

Also, if you are open to other forms of Jean, here they are:

    Jeana

    Jeanette

    Jeanine

    Jeanne

    Jeannie

    Doctor's Receptionist: "Emma Jean, please"

    Eema Jean: "It's Eema"

    Receptionist: "Pardon?"

Eema Jean: "It's Eema Jean, not Emma Jean"

    Receptionist: "Oh. Sorry".

Repeat times ten thousand, substituting 'Receptionist' with New Teacher, Interviewer, Cold Caller, etc, depending on the circumstance.

    Is it worth it?....

    I'll give it a 2.

    2.

Eema is confusing and strange. I'm sure it will be constantly mispronounced as e-mah as opposed to I-mah. But even aside from that I don't care for the name. Not my style at all. I don't think its pretty.

I think she's going to spend half her life explaining that her name isn't Emma. It's pretty cruel to inflict that on a child, really.

Jean is a nice name and rather underused.
