If you actually go to "5 terre" remember about sea urchins...my left foot thumb will never forget them :) Apart this little and painful inconvenience, it's wonderful

There are 2 important rivieras in Italy, the romagnola and the ligure one.

If you mean the riviera ligure you definetely have to go to the "5 terre" (5 lands). you can reach Portovenere in only 1 hour and a half with car form Pisa. That is awesome. Take a look at the site http://www.lecinqueterre.org/ and you'll know what im talking about.

While the riviera romagnola (Rimini, Riccione and stuff) is plenty of clubs (Cocoricò, Papete beach and so on), theme parks (Mirabilandia, Acquafan) and beaches. With car from Pisa you'll need about 3/4 hours for reaching there.

    Dear Mandy,

the Tuscan riviera is more beautiful than the Romagna one! We have a gorgeous archipelago. If you have 3 days only you can go to Livorno's harbour and take the ferry to Capraia island for a day trip: I can say that Capraia is an authentic water and food paradise! Here's a couple of links about the Tuscan archipelago from Regione Toscana's blog!
