What is happening when anyone who is negative can be threatened with being killed?

I just read that someone on a British TV programme (Come dine with me) was rude to guests. He's now being threatened with being attacked or killed. I haven't seen the programme, but to me it looks like there are no longer restraints on what people (even total strangers watching the show) will do when they are slightly upset. Wouldn't it be enough for him to apologise? Why all these threats? What is happening in society to make people react like that? There is too much unwarranted violence in the world, and I feel we need to start thinking about keeping our emotions in check to keep the world viable and safe. A little acceptance and tolerance... Or not?

It is a bit over the top. I'm sure some people think that they are living in a melodrama, well they certainly act like it, don't they? It takes a bigger person to apologise, but even being nice appears to need a degree these days. What gives? Does it really cost anything to be nice or help each other out?

I don't know the viewing figures for this joke of a programme but I figure out of a million people you are bound to have a couple of dozen nutters who can't tell the difference between the TV and their own lives.

BTW You should watch Charlie Brooker's new TV show. You have invented a breakdown in society out of a total news non-event.

Well he did say one contestant looked like she never washed, and the other one he should wear a wig, so if you are going to be that nasty, be prepared for the backlash.
